توسعه­ی شایستگی ­های کارآفرینانه در بین دانشجویان نظام آموزش عالی در گرو عوامل زیادی است که بی­شک قابلیت افراد برای تشخیص فرصت­های کارآفرینی از جایگاه ویژه­ای برخوردار است؛ چرا که تشخیص فرصت اصلی­ ترین و اولین گام در فرآیند توسعه­ی کارآفرینی به ­شمار می­ رود. در این راستا، پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی قابلیت تشخیص فرصت­های کارآفرینی در بین دانشجویان کشاورزی دانشگاه ایلام انجام شد. جامعه ­ی آماری پژوهش شامل تمام دانشجویان سال چهارم کارشناسی در رشته­ های کشاورزی دانشگاه ایلام بودند که تعداد 100 نفر از آن­ها به روش نمونه­ گیری تصادفی طبقه ­ای با انتساب متناسب انتخاب شدند. تجزیه و تحلیل داده ­ها با استفاده از نرم­ افزارهای SPSS و SmartPLS انجام شد. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که پاسخگویان از قابلیت تشخیص فرصت­های کارآفرینی متوسطی برخوردار بودند. براساس نتایج مدل­سازی معادلات ساختاری متغیر نهفته ­ی هوشیاری کارآفرینانه تأثیر مثبت و معنی­ داری بر قابلیت تشخیص فرصت کارآفرینی در بین دانشجویان کشاورزی داشت؛ بنابراین، یافته ­های این مطالعه اهمیت متغیر نهفته ­ی هوشیاری کارآفرینانه را برای پیش ­بینی قابلیت تشخیص فرصت­های کارآفرینی در بین دانشجویان آموزش عالی آشکار کرد.
