فعالیت کارآفرینی مؤثر، می ­تواند منجر به توسعه­ ی اقتصادی، ایجاد اشتغال، نوآوری و رقابت­ پذیری شود. هدف از انجام مطالعه حاضر، بررسی نقش اکوسیستم کارآفرینی جهانی در اشتغال بخش­ های خدمات و کشاورزی کشورهای منتخب با استفاده از روش تجزیه و تحلیل تمایزی در سال 1398 بوده است. بدین­ منظور، ابتدا با استفاده از روش تحلیل خوشه  ­ای K- میانگین، کشورهای موردنظر به دو گروه تقسیم شدند. کشورهای گروه اول، کشورهای با سطح پایین از منظر اشتغال در بخش ­های خدمات و کشاورزی و کشورهای گروه دوم کشورهای با سطح بالا از منظر اشتغال در سه بخش مذکور بودند. نتایج روش تحلیل تمایزی نشان داد، شاخص کارآفرینی بعد از سهم ارزش افزوده بخش ­های خدمات و کشاورزی در تولید ناخالص داخلی، دومین متغیر مؤثر در اشتغال می­ باشد. همچنین، با ارتقای شاخص جهانی کارآفرینی که نمادی از سلامت اکوسیستم کارآفرینی می­ باشد، اشتغال در بخش­ های کشاورزی و خدمات کشورهایی که درگروه دوم قرار دارند، افزایش می­یابد. این موضوع بر اهمیت نقش اکوسیستم کارآفرینی در اشتغال­زایی تأکید می­ کند. بنابراین، حمایت در جهت توسعه­ ی کارآفرینی و بهبود اکوسیسستم کارآفرینی با رشد بالا و کشف پتانسیل ­های موجود با هدف افزایش اشتغال و ارزش افزوده باید مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
