Abstract

Optimal decision making is a prerequisite for job success, and decisions are influenced by motivations. This research was conducted to assess the optimal level of farmers' occupational decision making and the impact of job motivation and other factors on it by descriptive - correlational research and using a survey technique in Marvdasht Township of Fars province. The sample size (249 people) was determined by Mendenhall formula, which up to 307 people to increase research accuracy. A multi stage stratified random sampling method was used for sampling. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by the professors of agricultural extension and education and a pilot study was carried out to determine its reliability. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for research scales ranged from 0.71 to 0.86, indicating the accepted level of the measurement tool reliability. The results showed that farmers' attention to the optimal decision making criteria was moderate and all four types of job motivation had a positive and significant effect on optimal job decision making. Between the investigated criteria, the amount of hesitation in decision making and changing it has lower situation than the others. Moreover, one of the important factors in optimum decision making is the access of farmers to various information, especially meteorological information. According to the results, it is suggested that   authorities and experts pay more attention to different types of farmers' motivations, and to increase their knowledge and information about decision making subjects, provide them with appropriate solutions.

Abstract

Promoting women's participation and achieving the goals of gender equality have been proposed in such a way that women's progress and participation is the main axis of sustainable development. Entrepreneurship is a good strategy to fight poverty and maintain wealth in low-income societies. The present study was conducted to explain the mediating role of empathy in the relationship between psychological capital and social entrepreneurship of women in Choobast village. The research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study was 162 people in Choobast village in 1399. Samples were selected by census by 162 people. The measuring tool is a standard questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between psychological capital and women's social entrepreneurship. Also, psychological capital has a significant effect on social entrepreneurship with the mediating role of empathy with a coefficient of 0.48.

Extended Abstract

Background: Innovation and adaptation are increasingly recognized as vital sources of competitive advantage for organizations in today's rapidly changing environment. In this context, entrepreneurial orientation plays a critical role in enhancing employee job performance and ensuring sustainable growth. Organizations can secure a sustainable competitive advantage by actively seeking new opportunities through innovative activities, adopting a risk-taking entrepreneurial orientation, and continuing to evolve in this era of change. Consequently, there is a growing theoretical and practical interest in entrepreneurial orientation as a key factor in improving organizational performance and pursuing growth. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to determine the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the job performance of employees at the Mazandaran Agricultural Jahad Organization, considering the mediating role of innovative behavior.

Methods: This research is applied in nature and employs a descriptive approach, classified as a field study. It is causal in terms of the relationships between research variables. The statistical population consists of 440 employees of the Mazandaran Agricultural Jahad Organization. A sample of 214 individuals was selected using the simple random sampling method, guided by the Krejcie-Morgan table. Data were collected through standardized questionnaires. To assess the validity of the questionnaire, both "content validity" and "construct validity" were evaluated by a group of experts. The reliability of the instruments was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which yielded values of 0.875 for entrepreneurial orientation, 0.899 for innovative behavior, and 0.876 for job performance.

Results: The results of structural equation modeling indicated that entrepreneurial orientation has a direct and significant effect on both job performance and innovative behavior. Additionally, a positive and significant effect of innovative behavior on job performance was confirmed. Furthermore, the mediating role of innovative behavior in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and job performance was established.

Conclusion: Based on the findings of this research, implementing measures to enhance the innovative behavior and entrepreneurial activities of employees at the Mazandaran Agricultural Jahad Organization can lead to improved job performance within the organization. By fostering an environment that encourages innovation and entrepreneurship, the organization can significantly boost employee effectiveness and contribute to its overall success.
