Abstract

  The purpose of this study was to compare entrepreneurial spirit of successful and unsuccessful managers of agricultural cooperatives in Ilam Township. This research was applied and a descriptive-survey research method was used. Statistical population of this study are all the managers of agricultural cooperatives in Ilam county (N =340). The numbers of successful managers were 265 people, and the numbers of unsuccessful managers were 75 people. In this study, unsuccessful managers were studied by using census method and 100 cases of successful cooperative managers were selected by using proportionate stratified random sampling method and using Cochran formula. Instrument of data gathering was questionnaire which its content validity was confirmed by expert panel. Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was used to determine reliability of questionnaire and its value was equal to 0/87, which is acceptable. The results showed that the characteristic of risk-taking, locus of control and creativity of the participants was strong. Also, characteristic of need to achievement, tolerance for ambiguity and independence of participants was average. Also the results showed that there was a significant difference between entrepreneurial sprit of successful and unsuccessful agricultural cooperatives managers in terms of risk-taking, need to achivement and independence, but There was no significant difference between sprit of successful and unsuccessful managers in terms of creativity, tolerance for ambiguity and locus of control.

Abstract

The role of participatory management in organizational entrepreneurship of agricultural cooperatives was studied in Ilam Township. The study was an applied study in terms of objective and a survey study in terms of data collection method. The statistical population was composed of all members of agricultural cooperatives in Ilam Township who totaled 1960 people, out of which 320 people were randomly sampled by Morgan and Krejcie’s table. Data collection tool was a self-designed questionnaire including questions about different facets of participatory management and organizational entrepreneurship. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by a panel of experts composed of faculty members of Agriculture Extension and Management Group of Islamic Azad University of Ilam. Abstract

Now, the role of cooperatives in socio-economic development, equipping capital and thoughts, and then changing them to effective powers in the process of socio-economic development, distributing the benefits of this process in a more equitable manner among people specially the poor and low-income masses, is obvious for all of us. For determining the level of cooperative success to achieve their goals, it is necessary to investigate their activities. The study of financial situation of cooperative is one of the important case in the study of cooperative conditions. So, this research will investigate the effective factors on financial success of agricultural cooperatives in Sari, Babol, and Amol cities during 1395 and 1396. Requirement data was collected by filling in questionnaire, then analyzed by SPSS and Eviews software. The results showed the level of staff's education, the level of manager's education and manager's experience have positive and significant effect on stockholder's profit. In other words, if manager experience and the number of educated staff increase, stockholders profit will increase 5.73 and 1.25 Million Tomans, respectively. Also the result showed if manager education increase for one year, stockholders profit will increase 42.14 million Toman. The finding also showed active agricultural cooperatives in Sari will pay more profit to their stockholders than cooperatives in Babol and Amol cities.

Abstract

   Strengthening and paying attention to entrepreneurial spirit among the members of society are of important topics in entrepreneurship. Meeting the goals in this field requires some contextual factors that are considered as the prerequisites of ground setting for entrepreneurship. Present study aims to investigate the effects of contextual factors on the entrepreneurial spirit among members of agricultural cooperatives in Naghadeh Township. Present study is an applied research which was carried out through cross-sectional survey. Statistical population of this research was members of cooperatives (N=1170). Krejice and Morgan Table was used to determine the sample size (n=290). A stratified random sampling method was implemented to select samples. The data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire that its validity confirmed by a panel of experts. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was calculated to test the reliability of different parts of questionnaire (0.88≤α≤0.92). The results of structural equation modeling showed that economic, social, technological, and political factors have positive and significant effects on entrepreneurial spirit. So that the value of the determination coefficient (R2) could account for 0.66% of the variance of the dependent variable. According to the results, it is recommended that agricultural cooperatives be given more attention by policymakers because of their potential in entrepreneurship and improving entrepreneurial spirit.
