هدف کلی پژوهش حاضر، واکاوی قابلیت ‌اشتغال دانشجویان رشته‌های مختلف تحصیلی دانشکده کشاورزی دانشگاه شیراز در تمایل به راه‌اندازی کسب‌وکارهای فردی پس از دانش‌آموختگی است. این پژوهش در سال 1399 انجام شده و در قالب یک تحلیل آمیخته، ترکیبی از روش‌های کمی و کیفی مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. جامعه موردمطالعه در بخش کمی مطالعه، تمامی دانشجویان دانشکده‌ کشاورزی دانشگاه شیراز (1874 نفر) بودند که با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی طبقه‌بندی‌شده، یک نمونه‌ی تصادفی 365 نفره انتخاب شد. ابزار جمع‌آوری اطلاعات، پرسشنامه بود که روایی صوری و پایایی آن به­ترتیب توسط اساتید بخش ترویج و آموزش کشاورزی دانشگاه شیراز و با یک مطالعه‌ی راهنما در نمونه‌ای 30 نفره از کل دانشجویان خارج از نمونه اصلی، تأیید شد. در بخش کیفی پژوهش نیز با استفاده از روش مطالعه موردی و تکنیک نمونه‌گیری هدفمند، مصاحبه‌های عمیق با اعضای شورای بهبود مهارت‌آموزی و ارتقای توان اشتغال‌پذیری دانشجویان دانشگاه شیراز (12 نفر) انجام شد. طبق یافته‌های بخش کمی، نتایج مدل معادلات ساختاری نشان داد که متغیرهای معدل کل، شرکت در کارگاه‌های مهارتی، تجربه دروس کارآفرینی، تجربه‌ی شرکت در استارتاپ‌ها، نگرش به کارآموزی مطلوب، مهارت‌های توسعه‌ی فردی و کسب‌وکار و گرایش کارآفرینانه از عوامل تأثیرگذار بر تمایل دانشجویان نسبت به راه‌اندازی کسب‌وکار بودند. در نهایت، بر اساس یافته‌های بخش کیفی، راهکارهای ارتقای قابلیت ‌اشتغال دانشجویان در دانشگاه در قالب چهار مجموعه استراتژی‌های آموزشی، اجرایی، حمایتی و انگیزشی ارائه شده است.
