Extended Abstract
Background: In the current economy, agritourism involves activities traditionally associated with agricultural fields or home settings, where tourists can actively or passively participate. Researchers in this field explore the socio-cultural, environmental, and economic dimensions of investment across three stable levels. Entrepreneurship and the development of agricultural tourism businesses play a crucial role in national and regional tourism, particularly in employment creation. Addressing epidemic crises and future climate challenges, including declining global rainfall, is also essential.
Methods: This applied research investigates the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) behaviors across five dimensions (society, employees, environment, heritage, products, and shared experience) on agritourism entrepreneurship in less developed areas. The study employs a survey descriptive research method, with a statistical population of 384 participants involved in agritourism entrepreneurship. Data collection utilized a questionnaire with a reliability rate of 0.60. Descriptive and inferential statistics (including regression analysis) were employed to identify influential factors, using SPSS and AMOS software.
Results: The study reveals that attention to and application of CSR factors within agritourism entrepreneurship organizations, especially during crises, significantly contribute to entrepreneurship and the preservation of the local workforce. Exploratory factor analysis, KMO index, and Bartlett’s test confirm the research results. Active strategies positively impact agritourism business performance, while reactive strategies exhibit a negative direct effect but a positive indirect effect.
Conclusion: Correctly applying cooperative social responsibility strategies (involving the local community, employees, environment, heritage, products, and shared experiences) not only enhances productivity in agritourism businesses but also fosters entrepreneurship in rural areas, local labor utilization, and preservation. Leveraging existing resources such as gardens and agricultural lands (e.g., Tourism and Agriculture Zones like Oramanat) positively impacts regional economies and enhances the tourism experience. Proactive and reactive dual strategies play a pivotal role in promoting entrepreneurship and improving agritourism business performance, while also preventing indiscriminate local workforce migration and supporting local and agricultural infrastructure.
